About Us
Off The Rails began in 2019, born out of Katie's childhood bedroom as a lockdown project. We started with a Depop account, some of our own jumpers we were willing to sell and passion for sustainable shopping. It kept us (and our families, who helped A LOT!) really busy through out the pandemic - we were selling out quicker than we could source more stock and we became a part of the top 5 Depop sellers worldwide!
In 2021 both of us started full time jobs - Katie in music and Alex in finance and Off The Rails was very much a side hustle but still very much something we both wanted to do full time, we would be packaging all the orders from home, posting them out in the evenings and on lunch breaks. We would go on sourcing trips for long weekends and eventually decided to bite the bullet and quit our day jobs!
We put most of the money we had made so far towards a deposit for a studio/warehouse in SW London, we are still here to this date!
We sold at Portobello Market every weekend, hired our first member of staff and hosted a pop up on Oxford Street!
Skipping forward to 2025 - we are still a very small team working out of our Wimbledon studio, popping up across the country selling Vintage Ralph Lauren as well as selling online!
